5 Places for a Photoshoot in Phoenix

Arizona is a very beautiful place to have a photoshoot. The sunsets here are beautiful in monsoon season. My favorite thing to do as a Phoenix photographer is go hiking and visit some of the nature spots when the weather cools down. Because I love to travel, getting out and about in my own city allows me to see the best places to take pictures in Arizona.

I love capturing portrait photos and branding photos in Phoenix, outdoors. Here I am going to take you to some of the most beautiful and cool places to take pictures in Phoenix.

My top place to photograph portrait sessions is the Japanese Friendship Garden. Because it is so hot here in Phoenix, photographs outside can be taxing and just down right miserable. The Japanese Friendship Garden has certain hours for summer and winter so be sure to check their site before scheduling your photo session with your Phoenix Photographer.

Next, the Boojum Tree Garden. This place is gorgeous for weddings or events. When you’re here, it doesn’t even look like it is a Phoenix location. I think thats pretty cool. You can have your photo session there and keep your onlookers guessing, wondering where you had your photo session.

Thirdly, Desert Botanical Garden is an awesome place to be in the Fall/Winter months. When the foliage is in bloom there is no place I’d rather be other than the Garden.

Fourth, Papago Park is endless with possibilities for a photo session location in Phoenix. Red rock mountains, easy to access. Not much climbing but, in the summer, it can be a little bad for having a session out in the heat. This is why it is one of my top 5 spots in Phoenix for Fall photo session.

Last but not least, Gilbert Riparian Park. I photographed a beautiful couple from Atlanta as they visited family. They wanted to have a photo session in Phoenix for her birthday which ended up turning into an engagement later that evening.
